Terms of Service
Last updated June 30, 2026
These Terms of Service are a binding agreement between you and Trust Fund Enterprises LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“K Styles,” “we,” “us”), governing the K Styles website, web app, and mobile applications. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. The mobile applications are additionally licensed under the End User License Agreement (/legal/eula); the Cancellation Policy and SMS Terms are incorporated into these terms by reference.
1. What K Styles is
K Styles is a marketplace platform: it connects clients with independent barbers, beauty professionals, shops, and vendors, and provides the booking, payment, messaging, point-of-sale, and business tools around those relationships.
The services themselves — the haircut, the braids, the chair rental, the towel delivery — are provided by the independent professional, shop, or vendor, not by K Styles. Professionals, shops, and vendors are independent businesses and independent contractors. They are not our employees, agents, or partners, and we do not supervise their work.
2. Accounts and roles
You must be 18 or older and provide accurate information to hold an account. You're responsible for what happens under your login; tell us immediately if it's compromised.
One account can hold multiple roles — client, professional, shop owner, vendor. Each role carries its own obligations under these terms. Professionals must hold the licenses their state requires for the services they list; shops must meet applicable health and business requirements; vendors must carry the insurance they attest to during onboarding.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, break the law, abuse other users, or create risk for the platform — with notice where practicable, immediately where necessary.
3. Bookings, deposits, cancellations, and no-shows
When you book, you enter an agreement directly with the professional (and their shop, where applicable). The deposit amount, cancellation window, late-cancel fee, and no-show fee are shown before you pay — they are never hidden — and by confirming you accept them.
The standard policy (professionals may set their own within platform limits) is: cancel outside the stated window for a full deposit refund; cancel inside the window and the stated late-cancel fee applies; miss the appointment and the stated no-show fee applies, charged to your card on file. The full mechanics live in the Cancellation Policy at /legal/cancellation-policy, which is part of these terms.
Repeated late cancellations and no-shows lower your reliability score, which professionals can see when accepting bookings. Documented emergencies can be appealed through Support for goodwill review.
Professionals who cancel on clients repeatedly or fail to honor confirmed bookings may lose search placement, Luxury Verified status, or their account.
4. Payments and Stripe Connect
Payments are processed by Stripe. Professionals, shops, and vendors receive funds through Stripe Connect accounts they open and control; K Styles never holds your card number and never manually moves seller money. By selling on K Styles you also agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement.
Deposits are captured when a booking is confirmed and are held against the appointment: applied to the service total at completion, refunded per policy on cancellation, or retained per policy on late cancellation or no-show.
Payouts to sellers run automatically on a daily schedule; instant payouts are available on demand for the card-network fee disclosed at the time of the request.
In-person (point-of-sale) transactions recorded through K Styles are subject to these same terms, including fees and record-keeping.
5. Fees
Clients pay a flat booking fee per confirmed appointment, disclosed before payment. Card processing costs are itemized on receipts rather than hidden in prices.
Professionals, shops, and vendors pay subscription fees per their chosen plan (including chair add-ons for shops), and a commission on marketplace orders, all disclosed on the Pricing page at the time of purchase. SMS and AI usage are metered with plan allowances and paid credit packs — never silently throttled, never surprise-billed.
We may change fees prospectively with at least 30 days' notice; changes never apply retroactively to completed transactions.
6. Marketplace and escrow
Marketplace listings (chairs, shop sales, products, build-out and vendor services) are reviewed before going live, but review is not an endorsement or guarantee. Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings and the quality of what they sell.
Marketplace payments are held in escrow and released when both sides confirm, per the flow described at checkout. Chair rentals include a standard rental agreement between the renter and the shop; shop sales are brokered transactions with their own documentation. Disputes go to Support and are resolved per the escrow terms shown at purchase.
7. Subscriptions and billing
Plans (professional, shop, chair add-ons, K Styles Black) bill monthly through Stripe until cancelled. You can cancel anytime, effective at the end of the current billing period; we don't refund partial months except where the law requires.
Downgrading a shop plan below your current chair count requires removing chairs or keeping the difference as chair add-ons. We'll always show you the math before a change takes effect.
8. Reviews and content you post
You may post reviews, photos, portfolio work, listings, and messages (“user content”). You keep ownership; you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content as part of operating and promoting the service.
Reviews must reflect a genuine experience. Our integrity rule cuts both ways: we never remove a review because the rating is low, and we remove reviews only for documented policy violations (fake or spam, harassment or hate, conflicts of interest, off-platform disputes, or exposure of private information) — each removal is recorded with its reason and is reversible. Professionals may respond publicly to reviews but may not pay, pressure, or incentivize their removal or alteration.
Don't post content that's illegal, infringing, deceptive, hateful, or exposes someone's private information. We may remove content that violates these rules.
9. Prohibited conduct
No off-platform steering to dodge fees on relationships formed through K Styles; no fee manipulation, fake bookings, or review fraud; no scraping, reverse engineering, or interfering with the service; no harassment of clients, professionals, staff, or support; no use of the platform for anything unlawful; no sending marketing through our messaging tools to anyone who hasn't opted in.
10. Intellectual property
The K Styles platform, brand, design, and software are owned by Trust Fund Enterprises LLC and its licensors and protected by intellectual property law. These terms give you a right to use the service, not ownership of any of it. The kNERO's Styles of Luxury name and marks belong to their owner.
If you believe content on K Styles infringes your copyright, send a notice with the work, the location, and your contact details to concierge@kstyles.co; we'll process it under the DMCA, including removal and repeat-infringer termination where appropriate.
11. Third-party services
The service depends on third parties — Stripe for payments, Twilio for SMS, Resend for email, Supabase for infrastructure, map providers for discovery. Their terms apply to their pieces, and we're not responsible for their outages, though we'll always work to route around them.
12. Marketing partnerships and “Booked from Ads”
K Styles offers an optional way to grow your business through an independent advertising partner. From the “Grow Your Business” area, professionals and shops can connect to Booked from Ads (powered by The Mogul Agency), a separate company that provides done-for-you local advertising on Meta’s platforms — campaign setup, audience targeting, ad creative rotation, reporting, and budget control — for beauty and barber professionals. Booked from Ads is an independent third party, not our employee, agent, partner, or joint venturer. It operates under its own terms and privacy practices and under Meta’s platform terms. We connect you; we do not run, supervise, or control the advertising service or the ad platforms, and we do not stand behind the partner’s work.
By connecting, you authorize K Styles to share with Booked from Ads what is needed to set up and run your campaigns: a unique identifier (your K Styles user ID, your professional and subscription status, and a marketing customer code) and your business information — name, contact details, location, service menu, and existing promotional video or image content. This sharing is at your direction and on your behalf, so the partner can provide the advertising service to you; we don’t sell your data and we don’t share it for the partner’s own advertising. Our Privacy Policy describes this sharing in full. You are responsible for keeping that information accurate and for having the rights to any content you ask us to pass along.
Your advertising budget is your own. Booked from Ads campaigns typically run on an ad budget of roughly $300 to $1,500 per month, and that budget is paid by you directly to Meta as your own advertising spend. It is set and controlled by you. It is not part of your K Styles subscription, is not collected, held, marked up, controlled, or refundable by K Styles, and you are responsible for funding, monitoring, and changing it with Meta and Booked from Ads.
Some higher subscription tiers bundle the Booked from Ads service fee (currently $49 or $149 per month, disclosed on the Pricing page) into what you pay K Styles. A bundled tier covers only that service fee — the cost of the campaign-management service. It never includes, funds, or covers your Meta ad spend, which remains separate and your responsibility as described above. If you cancel a bundled tier or your K Styles account, your separate arrangement with Booked from Ads and Meta is governed by their terms, not ours.
No one guarantees results. Neither K Styles nor Booked from Ads promises any particular number of bookings, leads, sales, impressions, reach, or return on your ad spend. Professional advertising can reach the right local clients, but outcomes depend on factors outside our control — including Meta’s platform, your market, your pricing, and your own content — and cannot be promised. As between you and us, K Styles is not responsible for Booked from Ads’ acts or omissions, the availability, quality, performance, or results of any campaign, ad spend you commit or lose, any account suspension, rejection, or penalty imposed by an ad platform, or anything done by Meta. Your relationship with Booked from Ads and with Meta is directly between you and them, and your recourse for the advertising service is with the party that provides it.
You are responsible for your own ad content and the claims in it. You must have the rights to any images, video, or text used in your ads, and your advertising — including its claims, pricing, and promotions — must comply with applicable law and platform rules, including advertising, consumer-protection, and professional-licensing requirements for the services you promote and Meta’s advertising policies. You will not run ads that are deceptive, infringing, or otherwise unlawful. This section is in addition to, and does not limit, the disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity below.
13. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” with all faults and without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, conditions, and representations, express, implied, or statutory — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and any warranty of uninterrupted, secure, timely, or error-free operation. We do not warrant that the service, or any third-party service reached through it, will meet your requirements or produce any particular business, booking, marketing, or financial result.
We verify credentials for Luxury Verified participants as described on that page, but we don’t guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any service performed by an independent professional, shop, or vendor, or of any advertising run by a marketing partner. Information, scores, and recommendations the service surfaces are provided for convenience and without warranty. Your recourse for service quality is with the provider, with our Support team assisting under our policies.
Some jurisdictions don’t allow the exclusion of certain warranties; where that’s you, the exclusions above apply to the fullest extent permitted, and any warranty that cannot be disclaimed is limited in duration and scope to the minimum the law requires.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, Trust Fund Enterprises LLC and its owners, members, managers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, bookings, clients, data, or goodwill, or for wasted or lost advertising spend, arising out of or relating to the service, any marketing partnership, or any third-party service — even if we were advised that such damages were possible and even if a limited remedy fails of its essential purpose. This applies whether the claim is based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, statute, or any other theory.
Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the service is capped at the greater of $100 or the total amounts you paid to K Styles (in platform fees and subscriptions) in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This cap is a single, combined limit across all claims and does not reset per claim. For clarity, your ad budget paid directly to Meta is not an amount paid to K Styles and is not part of this cap.
Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations or exclusions of liability; where that’s you, the limitations above apply to the fullest extent permitted, and our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
15. Indemnity
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Trust Fund Enterprises LLC and its owners, members, managers, and employees from and against any claim, demand, investigation, loss, liability, damage, fine, penalty, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to: your content; your services (if you’re a professional, shop, or vendor); your advertising content, campaigns, claims, and promotions; your use of any marketing partner, ad platform, or other third-party service connected through K Styles; your authorization to share your information with a marketing partner; your violation of these terms; or your violation of any law, platform rule, or third-party right — including advertising, consumer-protection, licensing, and privacy requirements. This includes third-party, consumer, and regulatory claims (for example, from clients, the partner, an ad platform, or a government authority) that arise from your advertising or your use of a marketing partner.
We may assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, at your expense, and you’ll cooperate with us; you won’t settle any matter that imposes any obligation on us without our prior written consent.
16. Disputes, arbitration, and class waiver
These terms are governed by Texas law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Any dispute between you and K Styles that we can't resolve informally within 30 days of written notice (concierge@kstyles.co) will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, seated in Denton County, Texas (with remote hearings available). Small-claims court and individual injunctive relief for IP misuse remain available to both sides.
Class actions and class arbitrations are waived: disputes are resolved individually. You may opt out of this arbitration section by emailing concierge@kstyles.co within 30 days of first accepting these terms.
17. Termination
You can close your account anytime from Settings. We can suspend or terminate per Section 2. On termination: outstanding bookings are honored or refunded per policy, seller balances are paid out per Stripe's schedule, and sections that by nature survive (payment obligations, content licenses, disclaimers, liability limits, disputes) survive.
18. General
These terms (with the policies they incorporate) are the entire agreement between you and us about the service. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stand. We may assign this agreement in a business transfer; you may not assign it. Our failure to enforce a provision isn't a waiver. We'll notify you of material changes to these terms at least 14 days before they take effect; continued use is acceptance.
