build status
What's built, what's shipping
The platform is built and the core booking-and-payments experience is live in production on the real backend — clients book and pay, pros run their business, and admins run operations on real data. A few surfaces are still in preview and queued next.

Core platform — in production
- Live
Booking & scheduling
Clients book real appointments against each pro's actual availability, with slots held atomically so two people can never grab the same time.
- Live
Deposits & payouts
Deposits are collected up front through Stripe and paid out to the pro's connected account; the platform takes no per-booking fee.
- Live
Card-on-file protection
Booksy-style option per service: nothing is charged at booking, but the pro can charge a no-show or late-cancel fee if it happens.
- Live
Cancellations & refunds
On-time cancellations auto-refund; late ones keep the deposit or charge the fee per policy — with safeguards against ever charging or refunding twice.
- Live
Per-pro fee policy
Each pro sets their own no-show and late-cancel percentages and cancellation window; what the client agrees to at booking is exactly what's charged.
- Live
Waitlist auto-offer
When a booked slot frees up, it's automatically offered to the next person in line, who has 15 minutes to grab it before it passes on — turning cancellations back into revenue.
- Live
Pro tools
Pros manage their service menu, set availability, configure fees, and mark no-shows and late cancellations directly.
- Live
Admin operations
Staff run pro verifications, handle support, manage user roles, and moderate reviews from a real admin console.
- Live
Chair-level scheduling
The booking engine assigns a free chair per booking so a shop is never booked past its chair count, and owners turn it on + manage the booking pool from the chairs screen. Live and race-safe.
- Live
Shop-owner tools
Owners open a shop, manage chairs (add/remove + scheduling), invite barbers by email, and run their dashboard, shop-wide broadcasts, and revenue reports — all on real data.
- Live
Shop subscriptions & billing
Owners subscribe to a plan through Stripe and manage it themselves — upgrade, buy chair add-ons, update their card, or cancel — with chair limits enforced live from the subscription.
- Live
Email notifications
Booking confirmations, reminders, cancellations, no-show notices, review requests, and waitlist offers are emailed to clients and pros from a verified domain — sent reliably with retry and no-double-send safeguards.
ai assist
AI that recommends — humans decide
AI runs as an assist, never an autopilot: it recommends, a person approves, and every run and decision is logged. It never makes the final verification call or moves money on its own.
Live now
- Live
AI verification review
When a pro applies for Luxury Verified, AI checks license, insurance, portfolio, and references, then recommends approve / reject / needs-human-review for an admin to action.
- Live
AI support triage
AI reads each support ticket, classifies its priority and sentiment, and drafts a warm, ready-to-send reply for a human to review.
Coming next
- Coming
Grounded support answers
The assistant replies from the actual record — the real booking, charge, or cancellation — instead of a template.
- Coming
AI-assisted resolution
Issuing refunds, reversing no-show fees, rescheduling — always with a human confirmation; AI never moves money on its own.
- Coming
Content drafting for pros
AI-assisted marketing campaigns and review replies, on the same secure server pattern the live features use.

SMS notifications
Text delivery via Twilio is built and tested; it switches on once toll-free number verification clears. (Email notifications are already live.)
Everything ships on one shared backend behind the same security and audit model as the live features — so new capability is layered on, not rebuilt.
